Jeanzia Guan is a writer, puppetry artist, filmmaker, sound designer and composer based in London.
She is drawn to creative writing and visual storytelling, and continually explores how different media can hold a story and shape their own distinct narrative forms.Through a cross-media practice that combines writing, puppetry and film, she creates poetic narratives that move between reality and dreams, memory and imagination.
Within puppetry and object theatre, her works explore how objects and materials can carry emotions and become active partners in storytelling. Drawing from posthumanist and new materialist perspectives, her works often examine the fragile boundaries between humans and machines, life and matter, self and others, searching for new ways to understand connection, emotion and existence.
